Benefitting Polar Bear Research and Conservation Efforts

With the effects of global warming diminishing the polar bear's natural sea ice habitat, this majestic species is now at risk of being endangered. With less natural sea ice and shorter hunting seasons, polar bears are experiencing rapidly decreasing population numbers and more frequent interactions with humans as they spend longer periods on land. The True North Company is committed to helping out as much as we can by donating 10% of all sales to polar bear conservation and research groups in order to help save this vulnerable species.

Environmental Footprint

With the amount of waste that goes into packaging and shipping these days, it is important to us to consider how best to execute this while minimizing our environmental footprint. We take great care and are continuously looking at ways to improve our methods. We try to avoid all shipping materials that cannot either be recycled or biodegradable under normal conditions. We try to avoid plastic as much as possible. Which is why you will only see our orders shipped in paper mailers or recyclable cardboard boxes.

Canadian Made Comfort

As Canadians we understand that comfort is the most important aspect about choosing an outfit. This is why it only made sense to make all our garments in Canada by Canadians. This supports local manufacturers, reduces our environmental impact, and helps ensure that every garment is made with the highest quality materials and standards. Under these conditions, a great garment can be made that will last years and not have to be replaced every season. It breaks our heart every time we see fast fashion that ultimately ends up in landfills all over the world.

Supporting Canadian Artists

We are firm believers in supporting everything local, not just shops and manufacturers, but artists and all their forms of media as well. Without them the struggles polar bears face won't be as well known. They are amazing at raising awareness through the expression of their art.
